The Crucifixion by Niccolò Betti purchased by the Galleria degli Uffizi has a historical-artistic value that reflects very well the evolution of Tuscan mannerism in the second half of the sixteenth century. At the time of acquisition, in 2023, the Uffizi did not possess any single example by this painter: it was properly the excellent state of conservation and the representativeness of the style of one of Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio's best students that created interest on the part of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
